Capture the beauty of your unique story

I believe in taking photographs that

The name Blue Reverie was born during a walk I took, alone at dusk, around my neighborhood back when we lived in South Carolina. Blue is my favorite color, and it was showing off that evening, along with painting-like streaks of purple and pinks.

The light was soft, romantic and just enchanting. To me, the color blue reminds me of this time of day, when day transitions to night and it’s easy to reflect and feel nostalgic.

reverie

I hope your wedding day is full of romance, reflection, and literally feels like a dream.

and I fell in love with it. I had read an article where a philosopher was quoted saying that a reverie cannot be recounted, it must be written down. I knew then that these two words combined stood exactly for what I felt a wedding day should feel like and perfectly represented the importance of documenting it with intention.

I had recently come across the word reverie,

I was even told once that I have such a soft voice that it should be recorded reading bedtime stories to help people sleep at night. By the end of our time working together, I’ll know all about your first date, your dog’s name and what your hopes are for your future together. All of these things are what drive me to capture the essence of you and understand the special details of your day.

I’ve always believed it’s easy to take a pretty photo. Truly great images - the ones that make you feel something - come from vulnerability. I understand that in order for me to be there as a witness in your most vulnerable moments requires the same from me in return. So let’s get to know each other.

I pride myself on making people feel comfortable.

My husband and I are celebrating 8 years married this year, and every year we get closer to 10 years together, I think about a vow renewal. Why? Obviously because I love my husband, but also because we didn’t hire a photographer for the day we eloped. You must be thinking, “The wedding photographer doesn’t have the best wedding photos?!” Yes, it’s true.

I know how it feels to wish you had splurged a little more or wish your photos looked different. I can honestly say it’s the only thing I would go back and change about our day. We’ve all heard of love languages, and I’m a quality time and acts of service kind of gal; part of my love and drive for photographing weddings stems from being able to serve you with a living reminder of your vows that will forever bring you joy.
